Jerome Holscher
W. Jerome Holscher "Jerry", 89, of Rockford, Ohio died on May 21, 2025 at Vancrest of Van Wert. He was born on February 2, 1936 in Upper Providence PA to the late Joseph J. and Winifred L. (Kerstetter) Holscher. On June 24, 1972 he married Elizabeth J. (Davidson) Holscher and she survives him.
He was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
Jerry received a B.S. degree in Health and Physical Education from West Chester State University, PA and MWEd from Wright State University. he completed additional graduate work in Physical Education, Reading and Spanish and Michigan State University, Findlay University, Ball State and Bowling Green State University.
He was a Jennings Scholar at Bowling Green. He was a life member of NEA, OEA, and ORTA. He taught Health, Physical Education, English, and Spanish for 41 years in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Ohio with the last 25 years at Parkway High School where he retired in 1999. Jerry was member of Deshler Evangelical Presbyterian Church and also attended the Salem Presbyterian Church in Venedocia.
A private graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
