* IMPACTS...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

Gusty southwest winds will become westerly this afternoon. The strong winds and the recently fallen snow is resulting in some blowing and drifting snow, especially across rural and open areas. This may result in rapid changes in road conditions over short distances. Motorists should exercise extra caution.

Debra Schumm
Debra Sue (Butcher) Schumm, 70, of Rockford, Ohio passed away Monday November 24, 2025 at her home after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Debra was born April 26, 1955 to the late Gale and Wilma (Alt) Butcher. In 1975 she married the love of her life, Mike Schumm, who survives. They celebrated 50 years of wedded bliss on August 30, 2025.
Deb treasured her grandchildren more than anything in the world and cherished attending their sporting events and school activities. She enjoyed doing crafts and making antiques come to life. Debi was a wonderful mother, a devoted wife, a true friend, and a woman of strong faith. Her presence will truly be missed, as her beautiful smile and warm personality touched the lives of those around her.
She is survived by three children: Aaron (Billie Jo) Schumm, Amanda (Matt) Triplett, and Galen (Elizabeth) Schumm; and eight grandchildren: Jacoby, Savada, and Crosley Triplett; Katelyn, Michael, and Grayson Schumm; and Sophia and Colton Schumm.
Deb is also survived by two brothers: Dallas Butcher and Jim (Donetta) Butcher; three brothers-in-law: Ron (Annette) Schumm, Scott Schumm, and Ted (Denise) Schumm; and two sisters-in-law: Kelley (Jeff) Miller and Diane Schumm.
In addition to her parents, Gale and Wilma Butcher, Deb was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Jack (Lois) Butcher; her sister and brother-in-law Sheryl (Jerry) Clay; sister-in-law, Marie Butcher; brother-in-law, Tom Schumm; brother-in-law, Mark Schumm, and sister-in-law, Bonnie Schumm; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fritz and Rosemary (Fisher) Schumm.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at The Rockford Belle Community Church, 135 W. Market St., Rockford, Ohio 45882 with Pastor Bonnie Smith officiating. Burial will follow the celebration of life at Riverside Cemetery, 3133 US Route 33, Rockford, Ohio.
Friends may call from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm Monday December 1, 2025 at Ketcham Ripley Funeral Home, 111 W. First St., Rockford, Ohio 45882 or one hour before the funeral service, 10:00 am until 11:00 am at The Rockford Belle Community Church, 135 W. Market St., Rockford, Ohio 45882.
Memorial contributions in Deb's honor may be given to Community Health Professionals Home Care and Hospice, 816 Pro Drive, Celina, Ohio 45822 or to the Alzheimer's Association, P. O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
