* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to noon EST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

Gusty southwest winds will become westerly this afternoon. The strong winds and the recently fallen snow is resulting in some blowing and drifting snow, especially across rural and open areas. This may result in rapid changes in road conditions over short distances. Motorists should exercise extra caution.

Alice Schmidt
Alice Louise (Forsthoff) Schmidt 81, of Coldwater, OH passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025 at Divine Nursing Home of Rockford.
She was born on June 8, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Albert and Beata (Herman) Forsthoff. On April 20, 1968 at St. Marys Church in Philothea, Alice married David Schmidt, who survives in Coldwater.
She is survived by her children Carol (Kelly) O'Connor of Gahanna, OH, Marsha (Michael) Selzer of Lafayette, IN and Albert (Tina) Schmidt of Denver, CO; and 5 grandchildren: Finn, Mitchell, Danny, Mason, and Emma.
Also surviving is her brother Henry Forsthoff (Marilyn, deceased) of St. Henry. She was preceded in death by her sister Kathy Droesch (Gerald, surviving) and infant brother Richard Forsthoff.
Surviving in-laws are Irene (Clete, deceased) Schmidt of Rockford, Theresa (Roger, deceased) Schmidt of Sidney, Carol (Vincent Jr, deceased) Schmidt of Union City, Ronald and Linda Schmidt of Minster, and Mary Ann and Jerry Knapke of Celina.
Alice enjoyed her grandkids, playing cards and traveling. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, St. Ann, St. Gaspar del Bufalo Ladies Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary. She worked for Bettie's Restaurant for many years and then retired from Briarwood Nursing Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
Friends may call from 1PM to 5PM on Sunday, December 14, and from 9AM to 10AM on Monday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
