Allen W. Post, 73, of Saint Marys, died 10:12 P.M. Monday, January 5, 2026, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in Saint Marys.

He was born January 23, 1952, in Celina, Ohio, the son of William and Rita (Heitkamp) Post.

He is survived by his siblings: Daniel Post of Spencerville; Robert (Sherry) Post of Saint Marys; his sister-in-law, Connie Post of Saint Marys; his nieces and nephews: Brian, James, Jennifer, Amy, Matt, Katie, Liss, Dawn and Kevin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; by his son, Todd Post; by his siblings: Kenneth Post and Phyllis Warnecke.

Allen was a graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He was a boat mechanic for over 60 years, and the owner of Post Mechanical Service. He enjoyed caring for his yard and his dogs, watching motocross races and doing mechanic work.

Funeral rites will be held 12:00 noon Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, Deacon Martin Brown, officiant. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.

Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until noon on Friday at the funeral home.
