* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Pat Hemmelgarn
Pat (Roogie) Hemmelgarn, age 74, of Celina, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 19, 1951, in Celina to the late Oscar and Mary (Jansen) Hemmelgarn. On March 17, 1973, he married the love of his life, Marty (Houseworth) Hemmelgarn, who survives at their home in Celina.
Pat is also survived by his three daughters, Megan (Adam Nagy) Hemmelgarn of Celina, Molly (Aaron) Shreffler of Celina, and Mikki (Ben) Raxlin of Los Angeles, California; his cherished grandchildren, Lilly, Luke, and Rose; siblings, Mike (Jan) Hemmelgarn of Celina, Peggy Corotis of Hilliard, and Sam (Terri Miller) Hemmelgarn of Dayton; and in-laws, Barb Hemmelgarn of Baltimore, Maryland, Vickie Hemmelgarn, Carol Hemmelgarn, Nancy Hemmelgarn, Pat (Patricia) Houseworth all of Celina, Kelly (Michael) Madsen of Naples, FL, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry, Tom, Jim, and Jack Hemmelgarn; brother-in-laws, Mark Corotis and Mike Houseworth; sister-in-law, Shelly Hemmelgarn; in-laws, Margaret and Stan Houseworth.
A 1970 graduate of I.C. High School and a 1974 Wright State University Dayton graduate where he earned a Bachelor of Business degree. He dedicated over 40 years of service to McKirnan Brothers Wholesale in Celina before retiring.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, the Mercer County Elks, the Celina Moose Lodge #1473, and Celina American Legion Post #210.
Pat enjoyed golfing, fishing, reading, and cheering on his favorite teams, The Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Browns, and the Celina Bulldogs. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and joy. He will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, corny jokes, quiet strength, and the deep love he had for those closest to him.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, with Deacon Charlie Salway officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina.
