The China Wok Buffet at 1401 State Route 703 lies in rubble after VTF Excavation moved in to raze the restaurant earlier this week to make way for a new Wawa convenience store/gas station. Reese Moore, a commercial agent for Crawford Hoying of Dublin, submitted a site plan review for a proposed 6,372-square-foot Wawa on 2.23 acres to the Celina Planning Commission in late August 2025. Construction may begin in June, according to city officials. "People are excited because it's more of a convenience store than it is a gas station," Celina city safety service director Tom Hitchcock told The Daily Standard, noting the city administrative office has fielded numerous calls about the development.
