* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:40 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall slowly this afternoon, falling below flood stage later this evening. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Bradley Hess
Bradley D. Hess age 42 of Rossburg, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.
He was born on January 19, 1984, in Coldwater, to Donald & Donna (Wright) Hess of St. Henry. On September 18, 2021, he married Meghann (Kunk-Bruns) Hess, and she survives at their home in Rossburg.
Brad is also survived by step-children: Taylor & Nicholas Shoemaker, and Nathan Bruns, and a granddaughter Lucy Shoemaker, as well as siblings: Kim & Matt Baumer, Kelly & Tony Kremer, and Brent Hess, all of St. Henry, his maternal grandparents, Jerry & Joan Wright of St. Marys, and his mother-in-law Pat Kunk of St. Henry, and in-laws Todd & Linda Kunk of St. Henry, and Kendra & T.J. Hoke of Bellbrook, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Brad is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Urban & Adella Hess, and his father-in-law, Robert "Booner" Kunk.
Brad was a graduate of St. Henry High School. After high school, Brad got his certificate from Charlotte Motor Speedway Driving School, NASCAR Technical Institute, and Carolina Motorsport. Racing was in his blood and was a huge part of Brad's life. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and football, playing golf and corn hole, and dancing.
A Celebration of Brad's life will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 12pm - 3pm at the Eldora Ballroom. A memorial service will be held at 12pm, followed by a meal and fellowship. Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry is assisting the family.
Anyone wishing to honor Brad's memory could consider doing so by donating to his granddaughter Lucy's future education fund at The St. Henry Bank, in loving memory of her Papaw Brad.
