Joann Feldwisch
Joann Elizabeth (Lammers) Feldwisch, 97, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, May 23, 2026. She was born to Henry Herman Lammers and Viola Wilhelmina (Henkener) Lammers on January 4, 1929. She married Vernon Benjamin Feldwisch on April 3, 1949, at the First Evangelical and Reformed Church in New Knoxville, Ohio, by the Reverend D. A. Bode, D.D.
Joann and Vernon were blessed with two children, Robert V. Feldwisch and David L. Feldwisch (Diane) and two grandsons, Philip N. Feldwisch and Peter S. Feldwisch.
Joann attended elementary school in New Knoxville, Ohio and graduated in 1947 from New Knoxville High School. She furthered her education at Elkhart Business University in Indiana where she earned a degree in the health care industry. She began her career as a medical secretary in Lima, Ohio, assisting Dr. J. M. McBride before becoming a full-time mother and homemaker. Joann devoted her free time to directing the choir for 39 years at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moulton, Ohio, as well as teaching piano and voice to students in the community. She also performed and sang in several productions at the Encore Theater in Lima, Ohio.
Joann was a lifelong member of First Church of New Knoxville, Ohio, located at 200 W. Bremen Street, New Knoxville, Ohio, where memorial gifts may be given in lieu of flowers.
Viewing for friends and family will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 W. High Street, St. Mary's, Ohio.
Funeral rites will be held at 3:00 p.m. with the Reverend Joel Bucklin officiating. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville, Ohio. A light meal will then be served in the Ministry Center at First Church of New Knoxville, Ohio.
