Terry Davenport
Terry Byron Davenport, 63, passed away on March 12, 2026, in Odon, Indiana.
Born on December 20, 1962, in Celina, Ohio, Terry lived a life defined by dedication, leadership, and a profound commitment to his country and family.
In 1981, Terry answered the call to serve by joining the United States Navy. His distinguished military career spanned nearly 21 years, during which he rose through the ranks to retire as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. Following his naval retirement, Terry began a second impactful career with TriStar Engineering, where he dedicated 23 years as a valued colleague and leader.
Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa Davenport (née Dameron); his son, Travis (Iris) Davenport; and his daughter, Tiffany (Craig) Braun. He was a proud grandfather to Sam, Addison, and Amelia Davenport, and Logan and Leon Braun.
He also leaves behind his siblings: Connie (David) Henderson, Davie (Paula) Griesdorn, Dean (Ellen) Griesdorn, and Nita (Mike) Rammel, along with 19 nieces and nephews and 39 great-nieces and nephews.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, Leon Davenport; his mother, Phyllis Griesdorn; his stepfather, David Griesdorn; his sister, Lori Davenport; his brother, Daniel Davenport; and two great-nephews.
A graveside memorial service will be held on June 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Saint Elizabeth Cemetery in Coldwater, Ohio, where family and friends will gather to honor a life characterized by 44 years of service and a lasting legacy of integrity.
