The skies may have opened up, but the bats stayed swinging at the annual Multiple Donations Softball Tournament at Memorial Park in Coldwater this weekend. Despite having to cancel games on Saturday, organizers were able to keep the games going Sunday to help raise money for local causes. The five-day tournament, which began as a fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, now supports a variety of local charities, families and individuals. This year's fundraiser recipients are Kendall Post, Troy Geier, Brooke Bruns, Tricia Sovek, the family of Doug Hoyng, Thanks to Our Yanks, Cancer Association of Mercer County, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
