To the Owners of Land Affected by the Proposed Improvement:  

On the 24th day of January, 2020, a petition was filed with the Clerk of the County Commissioners of Mercer County to vacate and remove the Robbins Ditch. The substance and prayer of said petition is that the vacation of the improvement is necessary, will benefit the petitioner(s), and will be conducive to the public welfare. The following is the course and termini of the vacation, to wit: 

Commencing on the west side of Weitz Road at catch basin on lot 5 of Hoenie Subdivision (approximately 100' south of the northwest corner of Section 25, Hopewell Township). Thence in an easterly direction into the northwest ¼ of Section 25 to the property line between Charles Nuding and Paul Dahlinghaus. Approximate length is 2,000 feet. 

You are hereby notified that the Board of County Commissioners of Mercer County has fixed the 18th day of February, at 1:30 p.m., on Weitz Road ½ mile north of the intersection of Miller Road as the time and place for the view. The first hearing on the petition will be held on the 3rd day of March, 2020, at 1:30 p.m. at the Office of the Commissioners, Central Services Building, 220 W. Livingston Street, Celina.

BID NOTICE

FOG SEAL APPLICATION

Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Mercer County Commissioners for fog seal application of various Mercer County roads, various township roads in Mercer County.

Bids shall be submitted in duplicate to the Clerk of the Board of Mercer County Commissioners, located at Central Services Building, 220 West Livingston Street, Room A201, Celina, Ohio 45822.

Bids must be submitted by 11:00 a.m. on February 25, 2020, at which time they will be opened.

Plans, specifications, and bid forms can be obtained by contacting the Mercer County Engineer's Office, located at 4884 Mud Pike, Celina, Ohio 45822 (Phone: 419-586-7759).

The bid package must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. The bid guaranty shall be in the form of either:

1. A bond for the full amount of the bid, or

2. A certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid. Upon entering a contract, a performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the project will be required.

All bidders must comply with Ohio Prevailing Wage requirements.

Contracts will be awarded on a unit price basis to the lowest and best bidder. 

The awarding agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities when the same are to the agency's advantage.

Notice is hereby given that Mercer Health will be receiving sealed bids for construction and renovation of their Pharmacy until 2:00 p.m. on February 20, 2020.

Sealed bids should be delivered to Hospital Administration located on the 1st floor of Mercer County Joint Township Community Hospital. Receipt of bid forms to be recorded by the Mercer Health administrative office.

The unified bid proposal shall include all labor, material, and services necessary to complete the project in strict accordance with the Bid Documents as prepared and on file in the office of Design Collaborative, Inc. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Please note this is a prevailing wages project, see division 00 43 43 for clarification.

The General Contractor is responsible for coordinating the work indicated in the Project Manual. The General Contractor shall indicate on the Bid Form the proposed project duration.

Notice of Public Hearings and Special Meeting

Notice is hereby given that there will be two public hearing conducted by the Board of Trustees of Hopewell Township, Mercer County, Ohio, regarding adoption of a resolution to levy an additional license tax of five dollars per motor vehicle, authorized by O.R.C. 4504.181, on all motor vehicles the owners of which reside in the unincorporated area of the township. The purpose of this tax is for paying the costs and expenses of enforcing and administering the tax and for the construction, reconstruction, improvement, maintenance, and repair of township roads, bridges, and culverts; for purchasing, erecting, and maintaining traffic signs, markers, lights, and signals; for purchasing road machinery and equipment, and planning, constructing, and maintaining suitable buildings to house such equipment; for paying any costs apportioned to the township under section 4907.47 of the Revised Code; and to supplement revenue already available for such purposes.

The hearings shall be held at the Hopewell Township House, 9708 Canary Road, Celina, Ohio 45822, on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at 7:30 P.M., and Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at 7:30 P.M.

Following the second public hearing the Hopewell Township Board of Trustees will conduct a Special Meeting to consider adoption of the resolution.
