* IMPACTS...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

Gusty southwest winds will become westerly this afternoon. The strong winds and the recently fallen snow is resulting in some blowing and drifting snow, especially across rural and open areas. This may result in rapid changes in road conditions over short distances. Motorists should exercise extra caution.

New Year's Basketball

  On the first show of 2026, we take a look at the week of boys basketball. Celina and Marion battled at the Hangar while St. Henry dominated St. Marys in MAC-WBL matchups. Coldwater took down Ansonia, while Minster battled in a win over Allen East. Parkway also competed in the Bobcat Holiday Tournament against Grandview.

  In girls basketball, Ansonia downed New Bremen in a close contest at the T&T Holiday Classic, while Minster cruised past Wapakoneta. We also take a look at the weekend ahead for the Redskins and New Knoxville, as the Rangers look to get win No. 1 on Saturday.
