Robert Hess
Robert W. Hess, 79, formerly of Osgood, died Jan. 20, 2007, at The Gardens at St. Henry.
He was born May 9, 1927, in Cassella, to Michael and Mary Ronnebaum Hess. On Sept. 29, 1951, he married Eileen Rose, who survives.
Also surviving are seven sons, Thomas (Karen) and Leonard (Dawn), all of Chickasaw, Dan (Mary Jo), St. Rose, Dale (Lynne), St. Henry, Carl (Dodie) and Alan (Sharon), all of Maria Stein, and Craig (Jenny), Troy; a brother, John (Esther), Montezuma; two sisters, Eleanora Zumwald, Maria Stein, and Ruth (Louis) Hamberg, St. Henry; a daughter-in-law, Tana (Greg) Nietfeld, Maria Stein; 28 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Chris; a daughter, Sandy; a sister, Alma Ruschau; two brothers-in-law, Richard Ruschau and Louis Zumwald; and two grandchildren.
He was a farmer and retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, and the Catholic Knights of Columbus, Cassella.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial is at St. Martins Cemetery, Osgood.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. today and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
