The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

At 519 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Waynesfield, moving northeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and very heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Visibility will be poor and hydroplaning is possible.
Locations impacted include... Alger, Waynesfield, Roundhead, Mcguffey, Silver Creek, Jumbo, New Hampshire, Walton, and State Route 195 at State Route 235.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.
Motorists should slow down and use extra caution.

Hilda Siefring
Hilda A. Siefring, 89, 51 E. Church St., Burkettsville, died at 5:05 p.m. May 7, 2009, at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
She was born Feb. 23, 1920, in St. Sebastian to Joseph and Anna Keller Homan. On April 16, 1941, she married Aloys C. Siefring, who died May 6, 1982.
Surviving are five sons, Donald (Donna) Siefring, Celina, Paul (Kay) Siefring, Greenville, Jerry (Rita) Siefring and Roger (Carolyn) Siefring, all of Burkettsville, and Tom Siefring, Williamston, Mich.; four daughters, Phyllis Kunk, Kountze, Texas, Sharon (Clete) Schoenlein, Ridgeville, Ind., Jane (Mark) Fleck, St. Sebastian, and Nancy (John) Pohlman, Maria Stein; 35 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three sons, Lester, Luke and Robert; a son-in-law, Carl Kunk; five brothers, Clem, Aloys, Tony, Joe and Val; two sisters, Katherine Prenger and Mary Fortkamp; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was a homemaker and farmer and was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville, and its ladies rosary altar sodality. She also was a member of the Knights of St. John Ladies Auxiliary, Maria Stein, and volunteered at Mercer County Community Hospital and Mercer County Council on Aging.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial is at church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
