A band of snow showers will drop into the region from northern Indiana, and push through the region through the afternoon. Some snow showers could produce a quick light coating of snow on elevated surfaces and bridges. Visibility may also be briefly reduced to a half mile or even less. Northwest winds will also gust up to 30 MPH.
Lighter snowfall will continue into the evening behind the initial band of snow showers, with accumulations from a few tenths to isolated accumulations of up to an inch.
Motorists should exercise caution and be prepared for rapidly changing conditions.

John Herron
John W. Herron, 64, Greenville, died at 4:25 p.m. Jan. 8, 2011, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton.
He was born May 11, 1946, in Celina, to James D. and Irene Schott Herron. His mother survives in St. Henry and his father is deceased. On July 19, 1968, he married Bonnie Kelch, who survives in Greenville.
Also surviving are a son, Tim (Angela) Herron, Lebanon; two brothers, James (Karen) Herron Jr., Worthington, and Robert (Donna) Herron, Greenville; a sister, Lea Huntwork, Union City; a father-in-law, John Kelch, Greenville; and two grandchildren.
Also deceased are his mother-in-law, Doris Kelch; and a brother-in-law, Paul Huntwork.
He worked at GTI for 12 years and at Lobdell Emery in Winchester, Ind., for 23 years. He was a member of the 196th light infantry brigade for the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War, where he received two purple hearts. He was a member of the Greenville Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville, the Rev. Terry Haworth officiating. Burial with a graveside military service conducted by the Versailles Veterans Honor Guard is at the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens in Greenville.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
