The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Ruth Spray
St. Marys native Ruth Anne Spray, 85, Grand Junction, Colo., died March 3, 2011, at her daughter's home in Grand Junction, Colo.
She was born May 20, 1924, to Fay and Corrine Youngs Hudson. She married Donald Spray, who died Oct. 10, 1993.
Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl (Rich) Grospitz, Grand Junction, Colo. and Jill Owen, Salt Lake City, Utah; a brother, Joe Hudson, Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter-in-law, Julia Haehn, St. Marys; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Also deceased is a son, Wiliam Spray; and a brother, John Hudson.
She graduated from Memorial High School in St. Marys in 1942. She attended the University of Cincinnati Nursing School. She also was a graduate of anesthesia school at Grace Hospital in Detroit, Mich. She worked as a CRNA at the Joint Township Hospital in St. Marys. She was a member of the St. Marys Soroptimist Club. She attended several churches including Baptist Church in St. Marys, United Methodist Church in St. Marys and the Trinity United Methodist Church of Spencerville.
A private family service will be held. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
