Betty Ford

Betty J. Ford, 77, Wapakoneta, died at 8:12 a.m. Feb. 21, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

She was born March 2, 1934, in Bellevue, Mo., to William and Lillian Winters Reed. She married Allen Ford, who died Aug. 3, 2001.

Surviving are two daughters, Sheba (Bill) Vaughn, Wapakoneta, and Debbie (Eric) Wade, Bismarck, Mo.; three stepchildren, Teena (Dan) Camper, Wapakoneta, Mary (Barrie) Courtney, Lima, and Billie (Sue) Ford, Spencerville; siblings, Sharon (Sunny) Barton, Arnold, Mo., Frances (Harold) Leydens, Jefferson City, Mo., Don (Martha) Reed, Pilot Knob, Mo., and Bill (Roberta) Reed, Citrus Heights, Calif.; and 15 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and retired from Hayes-Albion Corp., Spencerville.

Service is noon Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.

Calling is 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
