Alvin P. Luthman
Alvin P. Luthman, 67, Minster, died at 7:42 p.m. March 1, 2012, at his residence.
He was born June 17, 1944, in Sidney, to Wilbert and Viola Gariety Luthman.
Surviving are his former wife, Karen Watercutter Simpkins; two children, Donna (Anthony) Bayer, Colorado Springs Colo., and Annette Luthman, Warrensburg, Ill.; two brothers, Wilbert (Joyce) Luthman, Russia, and Larry Luthman, Sidney; four sisters, Rita (Herb) Fleckenstein, Fort Loramie, Ruth Richard, Sidney, Norma Barhorst, Minster, and Carol (Ray) Homan, Anna; three in-laws, Fred Drees, Versailles, Wilbur Sturwold, Russia, and Nancy Luthman, Russia; and three grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Ken Luthman and Robert Luthman; three sisters, Irene Luthman, Eileen Drees and Mary Jane Sturwold; and two brothers-in-law, Paul Richards and Lionel "Barney" Barhorst.
He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, and the Indian Lake Corvette Club. He was retired from Crown Equipment Corp., New Bremen, after more than 25 years of service.
Funeral Mass is 4 p.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Dan Schmitmeyer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, St. Patrick.
Calling is 2-7 p.m. Sunday and 2-3:30 p.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Russia.
