Paul Timmerman
Paul E. "Slim" Timmerman, 85, Wapakoneta, died at 3:07 a.m. Oct. 3, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Sept. 2, 1927, in Wapakoneta, to Lawrence and Emma Bonnoront Timmerman. In August 1950, he married Delores "June" Whited, who is deceased.
Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie S. (Robert A.) Jones, St. Marys, and Marlene (Kenneth) Brooks, Kenton; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Also deceased is a son-in-law, Tony William Ford.
He graduated from Blume High School, Wapakoneta, in 1946, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was retired from Ford Motor Co., Lima. He also belonged to Eagles #691 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8445, both of Wapakoneta.
Funeral rites are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Tom Eisenman officiating. Burial with military rights will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
