Lester Heyne
Lester A. Heyne, 84, Coldwater, died Sept. 30, 2012, at the Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
He was born Aug. 10, 1928, in Mercer County, to Frank and Alvina Reier Heyne. He married Rita Braun, who survives.
Also surviving are five children, Janis (David) Ebbing, Coldwater, Dan (Annette) Heyne, Coldwater, Don (Susan) Heyne, Centerville, Dean (Mindy) Heyne, Centerville, and Phil (Teresa) Heyne, Mocksvile, N.C.; five siblings, Rosy Albright (Chris Broders), Celina, Oscar Heyne, Bluffton, Ind., Ralph Heyne, Celina, Earl (Ruth) Heyne, Celina, and Joyce Flinn, Celina; 18 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister, Norma J. Eckrote, and a sister-in-law, Nancy Heyne.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, Coldwater Knights of Columbus Council 1991 and St. Gasper del Buffalo 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Minster. He retired as a poultry farmer and insurance agent.
A funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10:05 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
Memorials may be given to State of the Heart Hospice, Coldwater.
