Rose Mary Bulcher
Rose Mary Bulcher, 90, Russia, died at 4:20 p.m. Jan. 10, 2013, at Versailles Health Care Center.
She was born June 28, 1922, to Clemens and Agnes Drees Broerman. She married Rhomane Bulcher on June 28, 1949, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church of Osgood; he died Jan. 12, 2006.
She is survived by her children, Dorothy (William) Minnich, Ashland, Patrick (Velma) Bulcher, Bertha, Minn., Treva (Roger) Schulze, Huntsville, Joseph (Sol) Bulcher, Versailles, Jeannette (Mark) Barga, North Star, Walter (Louise) Bulcher, Houston, Ohio, Cletus (Bernice) Bulcher, Fort Loramie, and Alfred (Beth) Bulcher, Athens, Wis.; 52 grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; 52 great-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild; in-laws, Francis and Esther Bulcher, Versailles, Willard Bulcher, Versailles, and Winnie Bulcher, Dayton.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Agnes; brothers and sisters, Martha (Herbert) Clune, Clarence (Ruth) Broerman, Victoria (Albert) Schoenlein, Louis Broerman and Luella Broerman.
She was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia. During the depression, Rose Mary worked as a domestic for several families in the area until the war came, and she helped the war effort by working in the factories. She then became the housekeeper for Frenchtown parish. After she married Rhomane, she moved on to the farm on Studor Road where she worked as a homemaker and raised her family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Remy Catholic Church, Rev. Frank Amberger celebrant. Burial will be in St. Valbert Cemetery, Versailles.
Calling is 1-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Russia.
