Periods of light snow will occur this evening and through the overnight. While accumulating snow is expected to end before Thursday morning, falling temperatures and light snow accumulations of one to two inches will result in slick travel tonight and early Thursday.
Slick spots can be expected on roadways, especially bridges and overpasses. If traveling, allow for some extra time to reach your destination and be prepared for wintery driving conditions.
In addition to the snowfall, falling temperatures combined with increased winds will result in feels-like temperatures near zero Thursday morning. If heading outdoors, dress in multiple layers.

A band of snow showers will drop into the region from northern Indiana, and push through the region through the afternoon. Some snow showers could produce a quick light coating of snow on elevated surfaces and bridges. Visibility may also be briefly reduced to a half mile or even less. Northwest winds will also gust up to 30 MPH.
Lighter snowfall will continue into the evening behind the initial band of snow showers, with accumulations from a few tenths to isolated accumulations of up to an inch.
Motorists should exercise caution and be prepared for rapidly changing conditions.

Matilda Leatherman
Matilda P. "Til" Meyer Leatherman, 95, of Berne, Ind., and formerly of Celina, passed away June 18, 2013, at Swiss Village in Berne.
She was born Sept. 18, 1917, in Huntington County, Ind., to John A. and Lena Schenkel Meyer. On Aug. 18, 1976, she married Wilber Leatherman, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are a sister, Maxine Nussbaum of Berne; six nieces and nephews, Ronda Nietch of Niles, Mich., Nira Jo Nussbaum of Vancouver B.C., Canada, Lenell Nussbaum of Seattle, Wash., Jon K. Nussbaum of Temecula, Calif., Annita Meyer of Columbus and Dr. Devon Meyer of Eaton; and 11 great-nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a nephew, Dr. Rick Meyer, a brother, Raymond "Jake" Meyer, and a sister, Margaret Beitler.
She was a member of the Cross United Church of Christ in Berne, where she taught Sunday School. She worked 20 years for Gottschalk Supply in Berne and Celina Farm Bureau. She later retired as a bookkeeper from JC Penny in Celina. Here special interests included needlepoint, making jewelry, painting and traveling worldwide with her nieces and nephews. She also had a special interest in children and by reading to them in Kindercare while she lived at Swiss Village.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Swiss Village in Berne. The Rev. Timothy Price will officiate.
Calling is 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at Swiss Village.
Burial is at MRE Cemetery in Berne, Ind.
Memorials may be given to the Cross United Church of Christ in Berne.
Condolences may be left at the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home in Berne.
