Ruth Eshleman
Ruth M. Eshleman, 84, St. Marys, OH died 4:30 p.m. Saturday October 22, 2016 at Otterbein-St. Marys.
She was born May 17, 1932 in Spencerville, OH to Freddie and Laura (Hiler) Vulgamott. On July 10, 1948 in Kentucky, she married Eldon Eshleman, who died May 26, 1986.
Survivors include: daughter Linda (Robert) Suchland of New Bremen, OH; 3 grandsons: Jason (Rosie Gilbert) Suchland, Aaron (Lisa) Suchland, and Matt Suchland; 4 great-grandchildren: Josh Suchland, Jon Suchland, Kaitlyn (Shae) Mullins, and Jaymie (Cliff) Payne; 2 great-great-grandchildren: Noah Payne and Hunter Mullins; brother Frederick Vulgamott of Lake City, FL; sister-in-law Shirley Eshleman of St. Marys, OH; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: parents Freddie and Laura Vulgamott; husband Eldon Eshleman; brother Dorsey Gene Vulgamott; sister-in-law Patricia Vulgamott.
A homemaker, she retired as manager of the former Cotton Mill Store in downtown St. Marys. She also worked at AGAPE Ministries in St. Marys.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Soroptimists International, St. Marys Sister Cities, Chamber of Commerce and Memorial Park Bridge Committee. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Rites are scheduled to begin 2:00 p.m. Thursday October 27, 2016 at Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St. Marys. Pastor Jim Sweigart will officiate the services. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton, OH.
Visitation one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to either AGAPE Ministries or Grand Lake Hospice.
