Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the Tri-State region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Pauline Barga
Pauline Joan Barga, age 87 of North Star, died Friday, March 26, 2021 at Mercer Health Hospital in Coldwater. She was born March 25, 1934 in Osgood to the late William J. & Emily (Holthaus) Brackman. On September 5, 1955 at St. Nicholas Church, Osgood, she married James L. Barga and he survives in Coldwater.
Pauline is survived by children, William L. Barga and his sweetheart Diana Morsey of North Star, Jerome B. & Diane (Uhlenhake) Barga of North Star, Janet E. & Carl Kesic of Canal Winchester, John E. & Barbara (Murcko) Barga of Salisberry, Maryland, and Diane & John Huelskamp of St. Henry. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, as well as siblings and in-laws: Barb (Rammel) Brackman, Norma & Don Purcell, Paul & Valerie (Odom) Brackman, Janice & Delbert Dirksen, and Vernon Brackman.
In addition to her parents, Pauline is preceded in death by siblings and Donald Brackman, Eugene Brackman, and a sister-in-law Ruth (Reinhardt) Brackman.
Pauline was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, and the St. Ann's Ladies' Sodality. She was a hardworking homemaker who loved to cook and care for people. She had an infectious smile and laugh and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A mass of Christian burial following all CDC guidelines will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at St. Louis Church, North Star. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, North Star. Friends may call from 3:00pm-8:00pm on Tuesday, March 30, and 9:00am-9:45am on Wednesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster. Condolences may be left at www.hogenkampfh.com.
