Charles Overman
Charles "Chuck" J. Overman, 64, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at his home. He was born on November 19, 1956, in Coldwater, Ohio, to Julitta (Meier) Overman and the late Bernard Overman.
Chuck was a 1975 graduate of Fort Recovery High School. He was a life-long farmer. Chuck enjoyed being outdoors, especially trapping and gardening. He liked to play cards with family and friends and watching the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds. It was not uncommon to find Chuck enjoying a good NASCAR race on TV or attending many dirt-track races. Chuck was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and was apart of the St. Peter Men's Sodality.
In addition to his mother, Chuck is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kay (Kremer) Overman, whom he married on July 28, 1978; his children, Rachel (Chris) Rammel of Fort Recovery, Emily (Nick) Link of Portland, Indiana, Scott (Betsy) Overman of Fort Recovery, and Betsy (Ryan) Sutter of Coldwater; his grandchildren, Isaac, Caleb, Seth, and Olivia Rammel, Natalie, Madalyn, Charlie, and Gus Link, Marissa, Lillian, Dorothy Ann, and Josi Overman, and Levi, Onalee, Hazel, and Oliver Sutter, with two grandchildren on the way; his siblings, Marge (Dick) Keller of St. Henry, Dan (Sandy) Overman of Fort Recovery, John (Mary) Overman of Fort Recovery, Sue (Bob) Osterfeld of Montezuma, Pat (Dave) Adams of Celina, Robert (Penny) Overman of Jacksonville, Florida, Mary (Neil) Siefring of Coldwater, Carol (Bob) Dirksen of Bryant, Indiana, Mark (Karen) Overman of Fort Recovery, and Angie (Mike) Siefring of Burkettsville; his brother-in-law, John Keller of Sidney; his in-laws, Fred (Mary) Kremer of Maria Stein, Gary Kremer of Coldwater, Sue Kremer of Englewood, Vicki (Tom) Siegrist of Fort Recovery, Roger (Deb) Kremer of St. Henry, Allan (Deb) Kremer of Celina, Lois Siefring and Wills Arling of Celina, Deb (Bob) Post of St. Henry, Lisa (Tom) Severt of Coldwater, Jay (Shelli) Kremer of St. Henry, and Doug (Deb) Kremer of St. Henry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Chuck was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Keller; his brother, Joe Overman; his father-in-law and mother in-law, Mark and Bernice (Niekamp) Kremer; and his in-laws, Virginia Kremer, Terry Kremer, and Greg Siefring.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM on Friday, April 23, 2021, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1477 Philothea Road, Fort Recovery, Ohio 45846, with Father Christian Cone-Lombarte officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Guests may visit with Chuck's family on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Friday from 9:00 AM until 9:45 AM at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home.
