* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...The following counties, in west central Ohio, Auglaize, Champaign, Darke, Hardin, Logan, Miami and Shelby.
* WHEN...Until 1030 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 724 PM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Troy, Sidney, Piqua, Bellefontaine, Kenton, Ada, West Milton, Versailles, Covington, Newport, Bradford, Anna, Fort Loramie, Jackson Center, Forest, Russells Point, De Graff, Pleasant Hill, Botkins and Lakeview.

ST. MARYS - Downtown St. Marys could have a designated outdoor refreshment area in time for Memorial Day weekend if city council members take emergency action.
Representatives of the St. Marys Area Resource Team, a coalition of local businesses, and St. Marys Chamber of Commerce came before the city's streets and sidewalks committee on Monday to discuss creating the area to spur interest in the downtown. [More]

MINSTER - School board members on Monday continued to deliberate but made no decision on whether they would seek to replace or renew a permanent improvement levy set to expire soon.
CELINA - State Rep. Susan Manchester, R-Waynesfield, while recognizing the school district for a state award at Monday night's board meeting, also applauded school officials for having in-person learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.
FORT RECOVERY - Village council members on Monday night discussed a $53,112 overlay project on Butler and Boundary streets slated for this spring or summer.
FORT RECOVERY - Fort Recovery Elementary School will likely receive grant funding for community engagement and literacy within the school.
