Stammen gave up three hits and walked one in his two innings of work, striking out one batter. It was the first start of the season for Stammen, 37, who has pitched 46.2 innings for the Padres this year with a 2.89 ERA. Now in his 12th year in the majors, Tuesday's outing also marked his first start since the 2010 season.
