Periods of light snow will occur this evening and through the overnight. While accumulating snow is expected to end before Thursday morning, falling temperatures and light snow accumulations of one to two inches will result in slick travel tonight and early Thursday.
Slick spots can be expected on roadways, especially bridges and overpasses. If traveling, allow for some extra time to reach your destination and be prepared for wintery driving conditions.
In addition to the snowfall, falling temperatures combined with increased winds will result in feels-like temperatures near zero Thursday morning. If heading outdoors, dress in multiple layers.

Iris Bolen
Iris D. Bolen, age 91, formerly of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Elmwood Assisted Living Center in New Bremen, Ohio.
  She was born on August 5, 1930, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Kenneth and Helen (Myers) Barga.
  In addition to her parents, Iris was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" Bolen; her brother-in-law, Cy Niekamp; her nephew, Larry Heckler, and her Uncle Delbert and Aunt Bessie Barga.
  Iris was a 1948 graduate of Jackson High School. After high school attended many Continuing Education Classes in Data Processing. Iris put her education into practice working for Union City Body Company where she retired after 27 years of service. At the time of her retirement, she served as Vice President. She was a past Worthy Matron of the former Ansonia Order of Eastern Star and was a member of Fort Recovery OES. She was a member of Community Action Partnership Senior Citizens in Greenville and also served as President of Participating Council for 3 years. Iris was a member of the Rosehill United Methodist Church.
  Iris is survived by her sister, Roberta Niekamp of Celina, Ohio; her nephew Chris (Roger Kohler) Niekamp of Wapakoneta, Ohio; her niece, Lori (Ken) Herman of Celina and great-nephew, Dane Herman of Celina. She is also survived by her beloved cat Bootzie, who was by her side until the very end.
  A Celebration of Iris' life will be held at 11 AM, on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Tony Price officiating. Burial will follow at Teegarden Cemetery at a later date.
  Iris' family will be receiving guests on Saturday, from 10 AM until 11 AM at the funeral home.
  Memorial contributions may be given in Iris memory to the Darke County Humane Society, 7053 St. Rt. 49 North, Greenville, Ohio 45331.
