Mary Ann Severt
Mary Ann Severt, 94, died June 14, 2023 in Port Royal, PA at the home of her daughter with whom she resided for several years. Previously residing in Florida, South Carolina and New Jersey.
She was born September 16, 1928 in St. Anthony, Ohio to Lawrence O. and Hedwig C. Gagel Kremer, both deceased. She married Norman J. Severt on May 30, 1955 and enjoyed a happy life together until his passing in 2011.
Surviving are three children, Janet Severt, Edgewater Fla., David Severt, Duncannon Pa., and Joyce (Don) Parson, Port Royal, Pa., a brother Thomas Kremer, Ohio, a brother-in-law Jim Scharf, W.Va. Seven grandchildren: Caleb Parson, Alexander (Gabi) Severt, Alyssa Parson, Joseph Severt, Joshua Parson, Jeremiah Parson, David Joseph (Lesli) Severt II. Great Grandaughter: Skarlette Severt. She has many nieces and nephews whom she cherished. She was lovingly cared for by several caregivers and Hospice of Central Pa.
She was preceded in death by her husband Norman, sisters Jeanette Zehringer, Ohio and Joan Scharf, W.Va.
Mary Ann was a graduate from Coldwater High School, Good Samaritan School of Nursing, Dayton Ohio. Mary Ann enjoyed a career as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery and for Johnson & Johnsons Live for Life program. She volunteered as a hospice worker, first responder, service dog puppy raiser/breeder caretaker and was involved in many Catholic Church ministries.
A Funeral Mass will be at St. Anthony of Padua Parish on June 24, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Ethan Hoyng officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
Hogenkamp Funeral Home will be assisting.
