Snow showers associated with an arctic front are moving through this morning, providing a quick accumulation of snowfall. With wind gusts between 30 and 40 mph, the snow showers combined with blowing snow are reducing visibility and creating challenging travel conditions. These conditions are most impactful on roads that are more rural and are aligned from north to south. Even after the snow ends, elevated winds will continue to blow snow into the early afternoon.
Use caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

Candace Knapp
Candace E. Knapp, 76, of Van Wert, OH, died 6:30 a.m. Friday June 16, 2023 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice.
She was born February 25, 1947 in Lima, OH to Altas and Dolores (Young) Knapp.
Survivors include: son Richard (Teresa) Temple of St. Marys, OH; son Todd (Anna) Temple of Van Wert, OH; son Trent (Amanda) Temple of Van Wert, OH; son Travis Faulkner of Van Wert, OH; 11 grandchildren 3 great-grandchildren; brother Altas Dewey "Bucky" (Terry) Knapp of Sidney, OH; half-brother Barry Knapp of St. Marys, OH; half-sister Tammy Bullen of St. Marys, OH.
Preceded in death by: parents Altas and Dolores Knapp; daughter Hope Walker; brother Terry Young; brother Larry Young.
She was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. A homemaker, she had worked as a production employee for the Huffy Bicycle Mfg. Co. in Celina, OH for many years.
Rites are scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday June 22, 2023 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys. Evangelist Patrick Bayman will officiate the services. Burial will follow at the Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, OH.
Visitation 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
