Gary Meiring
Gary L. Meiring age 73, of Minster, Ohio died on Thursday, March 26, 2026 in Ohio State Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He was born on March 21, 1953 in Coldwater Ohio to the late Marcus "Mike" & Irene (Vehorn) Meiring. He married Peg Wicker on August 23, 1974 and she survives in Minster.
He is also survived by a daughter Nicole Meiring & Kiran Annavarapu, siblings, Carol & George McMaster, Karen & Eric Coffman, Sandy Gudorf, Mary & Jeff Moeller, Ken & Connie Meiring, in-laws Terese Meiring, Tom Brown, Lana Wicker, Tom & Angie Wicker, Karen Wicker, Jerry Wicker and numerous nieces and nephews, special friends Katie & Ben Albers, Vivian Marchal, Vera Marchal, Korbin Marchal, Ryer Albers, and Scott Marchal.
He was preceded in death by brothers Thomas Meiring, and Michael Meiring, sister Cindy Brown, in-laws Ron Wicker, Larry Wicker and Patty Wicker Brock.
Gary was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Minster F.O.E. #1391 and the Orphan Society. He retired from Dannon and enjoyed flower gardening and hiking in the Smoky Mountains, especially up to Mount LaConte.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Ohio. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, on Monday, March 30, 2026 from 4 to 7 PM and on Tuesday, March 31 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The James Cancer Center, Columbus, Ohio. Condolences may be left at www.hogenkampfh.com.
