Light snow will overspread the area from the northwest this morning. An increased coverage of snow showers is expected to develop this afternoon into the evening hours. Slick spots may develop on roads tonight as temperatures drop and northwest winds gust up to 30 mph. Coverage of snow showers is expected to decrease overnight before ending Monday morning. Most the area will see an accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Locally higher amounts are possible in areas where heavier snow bands develop this afternoon into early evening.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Leota Cook
Leota M. Cook, 74, of Wapakoneta, died at 5:55 p.m. Aug. 5, 2006, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Feb. 18, 1932, in Lima, to Charles and Waneta Crouch Barrett. On July 1, 1951, she married Richard E. Cook, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Richard M. (Diane), Wapakoneta; a daughter, Charlotte (Dennis) Stroh, New Knoxville; a brother, Larry (Sheila) Barrett, Cairo; four sisters, Betty Hole, Lima, Doris Griffith, Wapakoneta, Marilyn (Larry) Wren, Elida, and Peg Barrett, Lima; a son-in-law, David Shriver, Ft. Myers, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Karen S. Cook Shriver; and a brother, Russell Barrett.
She was a homemaker and worked the voting polls for many years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moulton; Auglaize Co. Republican Central Committee; and Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks 1170 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 691, both of Wapakoneta.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta, the Rev. Joy Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
Calling is 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
