Henry Evers
Henry A. Evers, 76, 1180 state Route 118, St. Henry, died at 7:58 a.m. Aug. 31, 2006, at Briarwood Nursing Home, Coldwater.
He was born Dec. 25, 1929, in Wendelin, to Clem and Theresa Lange Evers. On May 8, 1954, he married Irene Tuente, who survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Ron (Cindy), New Bremen, Randy, Osgood, Rick (Laura), St. Henry, and Gary (Julie), Kettering; four daughters, Mary Jane (Roland) DeSteese, Kennewick, Wash., Linda (Larry) Taylor, Collierville, Tenn., Margie (Randy) Tebbe, Minster, and Deb (Tom) Rindler, New Bremen; five brothers, Herbert, St. Henry, Clarence (Rita), New Weston, Edward (Rita), Burkettsville, and Gregory (Marian) and Clem, all of St. Henry; a sister, Alfreida (Sylvan) Siegrist, Maria Stein; two sisters-in-law, Esther Wuebker, Fort Recovery, and Anna Evers, St. Henry; 15 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren and a great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Florence, Harold and Walter.
He was a farmer and past vice president of the Mercer County Farmer's Union. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3025, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
