The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Lela Mae Gordon
Lela Mae Gordon, 87, of Duff, Tenn., died at 12;15 p.m. Sept. 10, 2006, at the St. Marys Living Center. She had been a resident since 1993.
She was born Sept. 14, 1918, in Duff, Tenn., to Albert and Nannie Williams King. On Feb. 16, 1935, she married Robert Gordon, who died Dec. 20, 1972.
Survivors are a son, Wade (Thelma) Gordon, St. Marys; a daughter, Shelby (Ralph) Pruitt, St. Marys; three brothers, Albert (Gladys) King and Doyle (Gail) King, all of LaFollette, Tenn., and Virgil (Shirley) King, Wilmington, N.C.; three sisters, Irene (Clell) Porter, Peoria, Ill., Kathryn (Bill) Napier, Dayton, and Doris (Everett) Jeffries, Rockwood, Tenn.; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Deceased are a son, Burl; a grandson; a brother, Edward King; and two sisters, Beulah Mazingo-White and Carolyn Davis.
She retired as head cook from White Oak Elementary School, White Oak, Tenn. She was an active member of White Oak Missionary Baptist Church and Jellico Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will follow at Chawell Cemetery, near Duff.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Cox & Son Funeral Home, Jellico.
Local arrangements are by Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
