The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Deloris Gilliland
Deloris Gilliland, 78, 800 Indiana Ave., St. Marys, died 11:05 p.m. Dec. 14, 2006, at Joint Township Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Sept. 8, 1928, in Putnam County to Vernon and Ella Drew Schuller. On Nov. 23, 1948, she married Oscar Gilliland, who died in 1993.
Surviving are two sons, Roger (Lisa), St. Marys, and Terry (Chris), Spencercille; three dauthers, Pam (James) Combs, Mt. Sterling, Ky., Deborah (Wayne) Stewart, Greenville, Kim (Gordon) Kill, St. Marys; two brothers, Tony Schuller, Cromwell, Ind. and Merle Schuller, St. Marys; three sisters, Irene Thatcher, Rockford, Sharon Seibert, Spencerville, and Deanna Carr, Bitely, Mich.; ten grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Marv and Wayne Schuller; a sister, Bernadine Jacobs; and a granddaughter.
She was a homemaker and attended Wayne Street United Methodis Church, St. Marys.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Mary Kay Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Calling is 2-6 p.m Sunday at the funeral home.
