The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Teresa Ann Shaner
Teresa Ann Shaner, 45, 327 S. Green St., Mendon, died 10:40 am. Dec.15, 2006, at Celina Nursing Home from natural causes.
She was born Nov. 28, 1961, in St.Marys to Glenn A. and Margaret Marie (Felver) Shaner, who are deceased.
Surviving are two brothers, Michael Alan, Clyde, Mich., and Jeffrey Alan (Carla), Hobbs, New Mexico; four sisters, Emma Lou Shattuck, Prescott, Mich., Debra Lynn (Herbert) Anderson, Woodburn, Ind., Linda Marie (Allen) Gross, Swartz Creek, Mich., and Glenda Kay Chaney, Mendon; a half-brother, Jay Orrin Bailey, Okla.; a half-sister, Priscilla Louise (Dennis) Anderson, Calif. and a step-brother, Douglas Alan Bailey, Kalamazoo, Mich.
She worked as a health care aide at Van Wert Manor Nursing Home and was a Van Wert area visiting nurse.
Services are 2:30 p.m. Sunday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Mendon, the Rev. Bruce Head officiating. Burial is at Mendon Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to Celina Manor Nursing Home Activity Fund or State of the Heart Home Health & Hospice.
