A band of snow showers will drop into the region from northern Indiana, and push through the region through the afternoon. Some snow showers could produce a quick light coating of snow on elevated surfaces and bridges. Visibility may also be briefly reduced to a half mile or even less. Northwest winds will also gust up to 30 MPH.
Lighter snowfall will continue into the evening behind the initial band of snow showers, with accumulations from a few tenths to isolated accumulations of up to an inch.
Motorists should exercise caution and be prepared for rapidly changing conditions.

Ruth Chapman

Ruth May Chapman, 83, of Santa County, Fla., died Dec. 22, 2006, at a care facility in Milton, Fla.

She was born Dec. 9, 1923, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Mahlon and Esta Worthington Myers. Her husband of 63 years, Robert V. Chapman, survives in Milton.

Also surviving are two sons, Michael D. (Carol), Ft. Myers, Fla., and Mark R. (Shelly), Troy; three daughters, Sharron S. (Rick) Kittle, Covington, Shirley A. (Rick) Riegert, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Debbie S. A. Bagley, Milton; a sister, Sara Jane Painter, Lima; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a brother, Richard Myers; a sister, Juanita Keller; and a grandson.

She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Milton.

Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lewis Funeral Home Milton, Fla., Chapel, the Revs. John Edwards, Steve Warren and Rob West officiating.

Calling is after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial is at Elizabeth Chapel Cemetery.
