Darrel Clay
Darrel W. "Boogie" Clay, 91, 306 E. High St., Mendon, died at 6:18 a.m. Jan. 16, 2007, at Colonial Nursing Center, Rockford.
He was born Feb. 21, 1915, in Mendon, to Roy and Mary Nichols Clay. On Sept. 24, 1938, he married Alberta Rider, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Tom and Jerry (Sheryl), all of Mendon; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is an infant sister.
He was a mechanic at Clay Automotive, Mendon, and a 1933 graduate of Mendon-Union High School.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Mendon, the Rev. Randy Christian officiating. Burial is at Mendon Cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
