* At 1104 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles south of Fort Wayne to Pennville to near Muncie, moving east at 60 mph.

Rev. Austin Herrmann
The Rev. Austin Charles Herrmann, 84, died the evening of Jan. 18, 2007, at St. Charles Center, Carthagena, after a year long bout with cancer. He was a resident since March 2005.
He was born Aug. 9, 1922, in Kinsley, Kan., to John E. and Elizabeth I Hahn Herrmann.
Survivors are a sister-in-law, Lucy, Larned, Kan.
Deceased is a brother, Quentin.
He entered the seminary with the Society of Precious Blood in Sept. 1940, at St. Joseph College, Rensselaer, Ind.; he made his temporary profession at the center Dec. 3, 1943; and made his final profession Dec. 3, 1946, at the center. He was ordained at the center, May 16, 1948. He was a pastor in Missouri, Kansas, Xenia, North Dakota, and Texas. He retired in 2000.
Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. Tuesday at the center. Burial will follow at the center cemetery.
Calling is 4 p.m. today with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the center.
Contributions can be made to the center or St. Nicholas Catholic School, Kinsley, Kan.
