Matilda Paulus
Matilda "Tillie" Paulus, 93, of Versailles, died at 7:30 a.m. Feb. 19, 2007, at Versailles Health Care Center.
She was born July 31, 1913, in Osgood, to Joseph Frederick and Elizabeth Vonderheide Wissman. On April 18, 1933, she married Francis Paulus II, who is deceased.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry (Rosemary), Versailles, and Jim (Marge), Celina; 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Shirley Ann; six brothers, Joseph, Ralph, Herbert, Wilbur, August and Adrian Wissman; and three sisters, Catherine Fetzer, Alvina Vanoos and Carolyn Johnson.
She was a homemaker, a member of St. Denis Catholic Church, Versailles, and former member of the Daughters of Isabella of the church.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. David Vincent officiating. Burial is at St. Valbert Cemetery, Versailles.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles.
