Gusty southwest winds will become westerly this afternoon. The strong winds and the recently fallen snow is resulting in some blowing and drifting snow, especially across rural and open areas. This may result in rapid changes in road conditions over short distances. Motorists should exercise extra caution.

Clifford Garwood
Clifford L. Garwood, 63, of Rockford, died March 1, 2007, at his residence. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born May 17, 1943, in Decatur, Ind., to Delmar and Mary Clark Garwood. He married Debbie Crayne, who survives.
Deceased is a brother, Robert Garwood.
He was a laborer and a U. S. Army veteran.
Services are 1 p.m. Thursday to Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford. Burial is at Willshire Cemetery.
