The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Levern Homan
Levern A. Homan, 81, 05607 County Road 33-A, St. Marys, died at 3:05 p.m. Mach 23, 2007, at Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys.
He was born Jan. 22, 1925, in Jay County, Ind., to August and Catherine Braun Homan. On Nov. 22, 1947, he married Joy A. Buschur, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Mike (Chris) and Larry (Vicki), all of St. Marys; four daughters, Sondra (David) Hughes, Wapakoneta, Kristy (Tim) Eiting, New Bremen, Lisa (Kim) Berg, Phoenix, Ariz., and Cindy, Cincinnati; three brothers, Harold and James, both of Celina, and Ivo (Betty), St. Henry; four sisters, Mary Ann Luebke and Verena Goettemoeller, both of Celina, Alvera Massonne, Decatur, Ind., and Luella (Eugene) Reinhart, Bryant, Ind.; 16 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Robert and Marvin; two sisters, Esther Link and Laura; and a grandchild.
He was a farmer and a retired production worker for Goodyear Tire & Rubber, St. Marys. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in all the World War II campaigns of the 101st Airborne as a paratrooper. He received the Bronze star with double oak leaves. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289, both in St. Marys.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Anthony E. Cutcher officiating. Burial, with graveside military rites, will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
