Light snow will overspread the area from the northwest this morning. An increased coverage of snow showers is expected to develop this afternoon into the evening hours. Slick spots may develop on roads tonight as temperatures drop and northwest winds gust up to 30 mph. Coverage of snow showers is expected to decrease overnight before ending Monday morning. Most the area will see an accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Locally higher amounts are possible in areas where heavier snow bands develop this afternoon into early evening.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Celina Tent is expanding its operations to Coldwater and will provide up to 12 new local jobs in the wake of its recent contract with the U.S. Department of Defense.
The tent manufacturer will lease 18,000 square feet of the former New Idea Building in Coldwater. It also will continue with plans to expand its current Celina location along state Route 29. [More]

An accident report stemming from a March 2 traffic fatality has been forwarded to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office for review and possible filing of charges.
Todd D. Homan, 22, 305 state Route 29, Celina, was pronounced dead at the scene after his car traveled off state Route 219 near Coldwater and struck a telephone pole. The crash occurred at 8:54 p.m. near Coldwater Creek Road, according to Mercer County Sheriff's Office reports. [More]

Offering to let a 13-year-old passenger get behind the wheel of a 1987 Chevy minivan led to an accident injuring the underage driver, the owner of the vehicle and two other passengers.
The accident occurred at 10:58 a.m. Saturday in the 1400 block of Burrville Road, according to Mercer County Sheriff's Office reports. [More]

ST. MARYS - The Chamber of Commerce honored its own last week at the annual dinner/awards banquet. Special event of the evening was naming two new members to Builder of Bridges society.
It started out as a dream by the Montgomery family and hundreds of eager community members got to see it become reality on Sunday at the Eastview Ballpark dedication.
