Light snow will overspread the area from the northwest this morning. An increased coverage of snow showers is expected to develop this afternoon into the evening hours. Slick spots may develop on roads tonight as temperatures drop and northwest winds gust up to 30 mph. Coverage of snow showers is expected to decrease overnight before ending Monday morning. Most the area will see an accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Locally higher amounts are possible in areas where heavier snow bands develop this afternoon into early evening.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

W. Ollen Jones
W. Ollen Jones, 93, 10276 state Route 118, Van Wert, died at 1:52 p.m. March 25, 2007, at Hospice House South, Fort Myers, Fla.
He was born Sept. 11, 1913, in Van Wert County, to William G. and Cora Rupert Jones. On Oct. 19, 1935, he married Vera Frances Hagerman, who died March 28, 1971. He then married Eloise Margaret Jones, who died Aug. 23, 2006.
Surviving are two sons, Ollen J. (Bonnie), Convoy, and William D., Fort Myers; two stepsons, Rick (Melissa) Jackson, Williamston, Mich., and Lynn (Susan) Jackson, Van Wert; a stepdaughter, Linda (Glenn) Cole Jr., Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Stanley (Millie), Wapakoneta; a sister, Esther Green, Celina; a brother-in-law, Ralph Rabe, St. Marys; two sisters-in-law, Marge and Marilyn, both of St. Marys; six grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers, Gordon, Joseph, Talmage and Homer; and two sisters, Lucille Rabe and Ruth Lowman.
He retired from Continental Can Corp. (Grief Brothers) in 1972 after 33 years, and was a self-employed tax preparer from 1962 to 1981, he graduated from Spencerville High School. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Van Wert; a past governor of Moose Lodge 1320, Van Wert; and founding member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, Van Wert.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Revs. Dillion Staas and Paul W. Miler officiating. Burial is at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Cowan & Sons Funeral Home, Van Wert, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
