Dozens of residents and church groups packed the Mercer County Fair Board meeting room Tuesday night, where nearly all of them weighed in against planned beer sales at the fair. Despite outcries from dozens of citizens against beer sales at this year's fair, board members voted to sell beer at the fair, which runs Aug. 7-13.

In a late-night vote after all spectators had left the Tuesday night meeting of the Mercer County Fair Board, members voted in favor of beer sales. Along with the vote, board members adopted 10 rules concerning alcohol sales. [More]
