Charles Geise
Charles S. Geise, 79, 804 Woodview Drive, Coldwater, died at 12:05 a.m. April 13, 2007, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Oct. 24, 1927, in New Weston, to Henry and Elizabeth Geier Geise. On July 3, 1948, he married Ruth Post, who died Oct. 15, 2003.
Surviving are a son, David (Cindy), Coldwater; two daughters, Linda (John) Campbell, Fort Loramie, and Kathy (Tim) Hoyng, Coldwater; two sisters, Viola Sitzman, Dayton, and Esther Smith, Indian Lake; a brother-in-law, Wilbur Thobe, Minster; two sisters-in-law, Butch and Evelyn, both of Coldwater; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers, Arthur, Alfred, Elmer and Robert; five sisters, Loretta Schulte, Martha Thobe, Mildred Kinninger, Mary Jane Knapke and Josie Knapke; and a daughter-in-law, Angie.
He retired from New Idea, Coldwater, and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 3025, Knights of Columbus Council 1991 and American Legion Post 470, all of Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Ronald Wilker officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
