The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Patty Smith
Patty L. Smith, 73, 400 E. Warren St., Celina, died July 28, 2007, at the James Cancer Hospital, Columbus.
She was born January 14, 1934, in Logan, W. Va., to Luther Sr. and Julia Ann Adams White. On June 21, 1969, she married Raymond Smith, who died September 27, 2004.
Surviving are two daughters, Shirley, Marion, Ind., and Robin (James), Celina; four sons, Leslie (Shelly) and Ronald (Tina), all of Celina, Ted (Geri) Roberts, Van Wert, and Rick Roberts, Cape Coral, Fla.; four brothers, Luther R. Jr. (Juantia) White, Newark, Paul White, Port St. Joe, Fla., and Guy (Sue) White and Beuford (Patty) White, all of Sunbury; a sister, Jewell (Dale) Layton, Sunbury; and three grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Bill.
She retired as an employee of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Celina, of which she also was a member. She also was a member of the American Legion and Fraternal Order of Eagles, both of Celina, and the Loyal Order of Moose, Delaware.
Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Revs. Robert Metheny and Bill White Jr. officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
