Gordon Leistner
Gordon J. Leistner, 76, 6449 Hasis Road, Celina, died at 1:50 a.m. Aug. 6, 2007, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Oct. 3, 1930, in Chattanooga, to John and Grace Nash Leistner. On July 28, 1951, he married Bonnie Huser, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Randy (Val), Celina; two daughters, Kathy (Scott) Long, Van Wert, and Lois, Elk City, Okla.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are five brothers, Forest, Frank, Lowell, Paul and Hugh; and a sister, Lois.
He managed and owned Celina Moving & Storage for 47 years. A U.S. Army veteran, he served as a medical technician at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He was a member of New Horizons Church, Rockford, and a 1948 graduate of the former Willshire High School.
Services are 10:30 Friday at the church, the Revs. Robert Loar and Mark Rutledge officiating. Burial is at Kessler Cemetery, Rockford.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
