Leo Mescher
Leo H. Mescher, 94, formerly of Coldwater, died at 4:55 p.m. August 3, 2007, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Jan. 25, 1913, in Maria Stein, to Frank and Elizabeth Puthoff Mescher. On April 22, 1939, he married Salome Mary Frenzer, who died Sept. 23, 1994.
Surviving are two sons, Richard (Delores), Dayton, and Steve (Mary), New Bremen; a daughter, Sandra (Linus) Clune, St. Henry; seven grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Raymond and Edmund.
He retired from Minster Machine Co. and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at the church, the Rev. Richard Walling officiating. Burial is a St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
