Herbert Mack Reed, 79, 8178 U.S. Route 33, Celina, died at 9:56 a.m. Aug. 12, 2007, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.

He was born Feb. 22, 1928, in Fonde, Ky., to Abraham and Lillybell Lawson Reed. On Oct. 20, 1945, he married Julia L. Head, who survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Lou Ann (Thomas) Hough and Patricia (Paul) Mack, all of Celina, and Lynda (Michael) Pissos, Lima; two brothers, Ottie and Charlie (Rouie), all of Celina; three sisters, Violet, Sevierville, Tenn., Lou Ann Lawson, Chatsworth, Ga., and Mildred Huddleston, Celina; 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He retired after 25 years from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, St. Marys, and was a member of Abounding Grace Church, Celina.

Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Rick Brosher officiating. Burial is at Resthaven Memory Gardens, near St. Marys.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, and 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
